At the 12th SMART TEXTILES user forum last February in Berlin, Julian Neu, CTO & Co-Founder of mateligent iDEAS GmbH, presented the company and the latest developments in smart textiles. He provided insights into the company’s advanced DE-sensors, pressure sensors, displacement sensors and EAP technologies. The technologies are particularly promising for the future, which was confirmed by the enormous interest shown by visitors.
Sipontina Croce from the iMSL – Intelligent Materlial Systems Lab, also gave an impressive demonstration of the new ‘Smart Watch’ sample. The possibilities for integrated, haptic feedback using DE actuators were impressively demonstrated.
